Somebody invent scratch and sniff for the interweb….stat.  This made my house and hands, yes, hands smell amazing.  🙂  Enjoy

How easy is this?  Ready?  Just cut your apples in half, scoop out the core, add spice mixture to dish, place on a baking sheet, bake.

Preheat oven to 350

8-10 apples ( I used Fiji, Golden Delicious, and Granny Smith)

1/4 cup of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar

1 tbsp Lemon Juice

1/4 tsp Nutmeg, Pumpkin Pie Spice, & Ginger

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 cup water

Step 1. Wash apples or do like me and give them a bath

2. In a seperate bowl combine all spices, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice.

3. Pour the spicy mixture into a casserole dish (lasagna size)

4. Cut and core all the apples-I used a melon baller to core them-super easy.

5. Put the cored apples face down into spice juice-yes they can be stacked on top of each other

6. Fill up spice juice bowl with water and pour over apples (If you like chunks in your applesauce cut up a couple of the apples and put into pan)

7. Smile at the begging dog

8. Put pan of apples into pre-heated oven for 45-85 minutes until they look like this (for me it was 75 mins)

9. Take out of oven and let them cool completely you will be touching with your bare hands once cooled.

10. Take out a resealable container and when completely cooled take off-skins-and put into resealable container.  Dump the juice from the pan into the apples too.

11. Mix with a whisk until you reach your desired consistency.

12. Taste and add more spices if you like.

13. Refrigerate. Can be enjoyed warm or cold.

14. Give the begging dog an apple and tell yourself you shouldn’t be encouraging this behaviour
